Involvement

The best thing you can do to support HL2DMU is to get involved in the community. Post on the forums, participate in HL2DMU organized activities, spread the word, join our steam group, idle the #hl2dm IRC channel, and so on. The more active participants we have in the community, the stronger the game is.

Financial Support

HL2DMU is a non-profit community driven site, which is why you will never see advertising, paying sponsors or similar. This section only exists as an option in case it is needed. You DO NOT need to donate funds in order for HL2DMU to continue to operate. If you are considering donating funds to HL2DMU, please check the Administrative Announcements section of the forums, or contact Walking Target or Keeper to discuss the current status of site operating costs before you do so.

On occasion, HL2DMU will do fundraising for a specific project. Information on such projects and donations will be posted on the forums, along with the progress of the fundraising.

PLEASE NOTE: By donating to HL2DMU you will help cover some of the costs of running the site and contribute to future projects. It is important to note that all donations are strictly voluntary and will remain in the HL2DMU paypal account until they are needed for site expenses or future projects. We ask that if you do decide to donate, the dollar amount be small. This site does not cost a huge amount to operate, therefore there is no reason to send more a few dollars here and there to help out. If you do have more than a few dollars you would like to go towards helping the site, we would prefer it if you (as an example, but not the only possibility) rented a server and donated it directly as opposed sending funds.
